Manivelle
for Espace Temps
Manivelle is a network of interactive displays that enables playful discovery and exploration of cultural, scientific and civic content. Deployed in public and semi-public spaces, they enhance the users experience while enabling promoters to increase the reach of their message.
Manivelle's community and cultural mission is symbolized by the simplicity of its visual expression: a poster board on a wooden easel. The touch screen is integrated behind a generous Corian frame that conceals the depth of the case and establishes a visual break between the display and its environment. The crank (manivelle in french) is the playful touch, the analogous manipulation that makes explicit the interactive character of the object and participates in the conviviality of the interaction.
